A Dirge for memoriesTeodora was lost.
She had been wandering around the streets for god knows how long,eyes darting around for for her mother. She didn't want to believe that red water belonged to her. But as time went on she began to realize something.
Her mother wasn't going to come back for her. It took a while for the gravity of the situation to hit her. How could she leave her all alone? It wasn't fair. But in the back of her mind...she knew.
The moment her mother shut her in the chest,she guessed that was when she knew. She waited for hours in that chest before she climbed out. The room was a wreak and nearly all their belongings had been destroyed or missing. Even her toys were gone. Tears welled up in her eyes. That simply wasn't fair.
She would sit in the wreckage,silent tears dripping down her embalmed face. What would she do now? Where would she go? Her first instinct was to find her mother...even if she was gone.
So here she was. Young Teodora Snow: lost, alone,miserable, and undead.
SnowTeodora sat in the same place she usually sat,by the kindling fire, desperately trying to get warm. It was a lost cause. No matter how close she perched or how feverishly she rubbed her scrawny arms, she'd never feel warm the same way.
It was cold today...like it always was in this new town they-Teodora and her mother, had moved to.
But what did she know? She was always cold.
Her mother, Marlies, chopped away in the kitchen. It must have been something extremely yummy. Thy young girl clawed at her chest. There was an emptiness there. Like an empty belly that wanted to be filled, but there was no hunger,no growling. It was just...hollow. Yes. Hollow was the perfect word. For a moment,a flick of pride popped into her head. She could remember those big words.
Giving up on getting warm, little Teodora ambled over to her mother. She grabbed a fistful of her skirt and hugged her thigh. Her skin prickled slightly. Teodora could feel every muscle moving, every vessel pumping with
